A direction for your next decision

Interior design consultation for confident decorating decisions

An interior design consultation helps you work through specific choices: colours, finishes, furniture, lighting or how a room comes together. I’m Cristiana Constantinescu, and I offer a designer’s perspective on the questions holding you back.

We start with the space you have and what you want to resolve now. You can ask for direction before your first purchases or a second opinion when work is already underway.

For the questions you have now

When can an interior design consultation help?

Interior decorating advice is useful when you need guidance for one room, a few choices or a clearly defined problem. You do not need to have every answer before we talk.

You have options but cannot decide

You have saved interiors you love, but are unsure which colours, materials or furniture pieces will work together in your space.

Work has started and you feel stuck

You have already bought some pieces or chosen finishes, and the next decisions no longer seem to fit. We look at what is there and what could bring it together.

You want to improve what you have

The room feels uncomfortable, light is missing where you need it or furniture gets in the way. We explore possible adjustments from your current starting point.

Choices that work for your space

    What can we clarify together?

We choose the questions that matter to you and consider them in context: dimensions, light, everyday use, preferences and budget. Recommendations focus on the topics agreed for your consultation.

    Colours, materials and finishes

How your shortlisted colours, textures and samples work together, and what to check in the actual light of the room.

    Furniture and room layout

Furniture proportions, placement, circulation and storage, so your choices support the way you use the space.

    Light and atmosphere

Which areas need light for work, relaxation or emphasis, and how lighting choices can create a consistent atmosphere.

    Existing pieces and finishing touches

How to integrate furniture you are keeping, textiles, art and meaningful objects, and which purchasing decisions to prioritise.

From questions to practical next steps

How does the consultation work, and what do you receive?

We start with a clear problem and agree the topics, format and intended outcome before meeting. You know what we can address in the consultation and what would need a developed design project.

    1. Prepare the context

Tell me what you want to resolve. Prepare photos, dimensions or a floor plan, inspiration images and the options you are considering. Note what you want to keep and your approximate budget for changes.

    2. Review the options together

In our agreed meeting, we discuss your questions and how the choices relate. I explain what works, what is worth adjusting and a useful order for making decisions.

    3. Clarify your next steps

You leave with a design direction, recommendations for the topics discussed and priorities for moving forward. The form of any deliverables, including lists or sketches, is agreed before the meeting.

The consultation focuses on the agreed questions. Detailed technical plans, 3D visualisations and implementation coordination belong to a full design project; if you need them, we discuss that scope separately.

    The consultation fee

How much does an interior design consultation cost?

For an interior design consultation quote, briefly describe what you want to clarify and the current stage of your interior. I will share the fee and what it includes before we arrange the meeting.

    What we clarify before booking

    • The questions and spaces we will review during the meeting.
    • The format, duration and materials needed for our conversation.
    • The agreed recommendations and deliverables, and the limits of the consultation.

The consultation fee is separate from a full design project fee and from your budget for furniture, materials or building work. If you later need design development or another meeting, we agree those services and costs separately.

    Let’s discuss your consultation

    Choose the support you need

Consultation or a full interior design project?

A consultation helps you make specific decisions. An interior design project can cover a single room, several rooms or an entire space, with concepts, plans, visualisations and coordination. The choice depends on the level of detail and implementation support you need, whatever the size of the space.

If you are unsure which to choose, describe your space and the problem. We can decide together whether a consultation is enough or you need a full project.

My approach to a space starts with the balance between appearance and everyday life. You can see it in my residential and commercial design projects.

Which choice would you like to clarify?

Tell me where you feel stuck and what you want to change. We start with the question that matters to you now.
